LATEST NEWS (part 2) !!!

Fall Series, 2006.

We just finished the Fall Series 2006, and Steve Ashcraft got the better of us. He drives a '90 Mariner Blue Miata with white stripes. Kudos to Steve! We helped him though; the first event, we had the tire pressures all wrong, and gave that one away. Don outdrove both of us in the last two events, but not enough to make up that difference. Here are some pics from the final event, November 26th, 2006:

Kevin G joined the fray late in the Series, but look out, here he comes! Nice colors in that paintjob! (a camera trick? who knows)

And this is some "artsy" thing that a guy taking pics up in Flagstaff got. Pretty wierd, but kinda neat, too! BTW, that is my Fastest Time of the Day run on Saturday, last July. ;^)

So, for the Spring 2007 Series, we decided to try the Hoosier A06 tires. They sure are quick out of the box, but they are said not to last as long as the Kumho 710s we had last year. AND, they cost a LOT more! $750 a set vs. $600 for the Kumho. We HOPE to make the Hoosiers last half the year. Our Kumhos went almost the full year in '06, so we will probably go back to those for the next set. Do the math; $1500 per year for tires, or $600. Seems pretty obvious to me! ;^) Anyway, first two events, we have been 1-2 in our class and each took Top Time of Day! Neat!

On to Page 6! More Cars? Oh no !!! ;^)
